"I don't know you, you don't know me, lets change that yah?"

Today was a hell of a long day spent hours driving around to make it to this gem.

SILENCIO

As I sat there and watched him be at peace

I felt as if I missed a piece

I’d been here before but never actually really

always moving, always leaving

It’s been a few years since the last time

since what I had learned was truly mine

Some say that religion is the basis of life

that it works to take away the strife

I believe it’s oh so very true

even if you tend to believe right out of the blue

I’ve been away for far too long

caught up in life’s own little song

I sit in silence staring into those eyes…

and can’t help but feel like I need to hide.

Tumblr’in Again

I always disappear from this site and come back to it when I need to haha… anyways, if anybody is interested, I’m on a week and half long trip in Guatemala trying to get in touch with my native country and you can follow my experience here http://guatemalanbeders.tumblr.com if you’re interested! Have a good night y’all.

Day Two of being in Guatemala brought me to Antigua Guatemala, the old capital of the country. The history behind the capital is that a mixture of earthquakes/volcanic eruptions in the past led people to move from the area to the where the capital is located today. Anyways, above you see the Tanque La Union. The grey objects that you see in between the arch ways were laundry stations. When the capital was high populated in the past, women would come, get water from the pool and use the wash stations to do laundry. Now it just sits there deteriorating…
